All CGBA Members have already received an email with links to the agenda of the AGM, the Minutes of the AGM 2022, and to a proxy assignment form. Should a member not have received that email, please contact the Association.
The Annual General Meeting 2023 of the Cyprus Germany Business Association is a very important one as the Association will elect its Board of Directors.
Therefore, all member’s attendance is requested. Proxies can be assigned if a member cannot participate.
Please note that the AGM is NOT a public event.
Who can attend the Annual General Meeting 2023?
- In case of Corporate Members: The representative of the member who has been appointed to the Association. The representatives are listed in the Members Directory of our website. Those representatives are allowed to bring one other person with them, who must be related to the member company, such as employees or directors.
- Individual Members. Individual members are not permitted to bring another person with them.
- Ex Officio Members: The Ambassador and the Deputy Chief of Mission, and one other person from the German Embassy.
- Special Guests: for example management of CCCI/KEVE, Ministries, etc.
- Please note that those members who are not able to attend the AGM are requested to appoint a proxy, by filling and duly signing the proxy instrument form. The filled and duly signed proxy instrument must be scanned and sent to CGBA not later that 24 hours prior to the AGM, and the proxy must present the original instrument when entering the AGM venue.
Who has voting right at the Annual General Meeting 2023?
- Each member shall have one vote.
- No member shall be entitled to vote at any general meeting unless all moneys presently payable by the member to CGBA have been paid. (art. 22 of the Articles of Association.
- On a poll votes may be given either personally or by proxy.
Who may contest a seat in the Board of Directors?
- All CGBA members with voting rights (see above.
- Any CGBA member who wishes to contest a seat in the Board of Directors shall please inform either the President or the Community Manager of the Association as soon as possible.
