The Center for European and International Affairs of the University of Nicosia in cooperation with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Cyprus organized on March 20, 2012, an event entitled:

"The crisis of the Eurozone and broader repercussions: Challenges and opportunities"

We have the honor to announce that two of our members, Anthony Ashiotis & Co and KPMG Limited, have been awarded with the Cyprus Export Award 2009 in the field of Services. We wish them the best and achieve their future goals.

The Cyprus-Germany Business Association welcomes the signing of the Cyprus-Germany agreement for the avoidance of double taxation.

The new agreement adopts the OECD (Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development) measure for transparency and exchange of information for taxation purposes. Improved provisions are also envisaged regarding dividends, interest, capital gains and shipping.

The Association’s Annual General Meeting was held at the Londa Hotel in Limassol on Thursday, 27 May 2010. Present at the General Meeting was H.E. the Ambassador of Germany in Cyprus Dr Gottfried Zeitz, who reaffirmed the full support of the German Embassy to the activities and events organized by the Association for the further development of the trade and economic relations between Cyprus and Germany.

The Cyprus-Germany Business Association will have its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 27 May 2010 at 12:30pm at the Londa Beach Hotel in Limassol. Following the AGM, Mr Thomas Kazakos, Director General of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, will deliver a speech on the subject “The New Cyprus Shipping Taxation System”.
